A Balaji Motion Pictures – White Feather co-production, Shootout At Wadala, boasts quite the impressive cast with John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpayee, Ronit Roy, Tusshar Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut to name a few. A special event for the launch of Shootout at Wadala was held and it was a knock out. Directed by Sanjay Gupta the film about the shooting death of gangster Manya Surve by police has been slated for a December 7 release. Manohar Arjun Surve (better known as Manya) was an infamous underworld gangster. His death in 1982 during an encounter with the Mumbai police is the city’s first recorded encounter killing. Producer Ekta Kapoor says, “‘Wadala’ and the shootout series is a realistic take with all its masala. It’s not real names, but the incidents are mostly real.” Talking about the film the director said recently, “We are not glorifying gangsters or the police force in the film. Over here (in the film) we are trying to strike a balance between them (gangster and police) and it is really difficult. But having said that, it is not about a predictable end.”
Bringing all speculations to rest, the makers of No Entry have confirmed that the film’s sequel would eventually be made. Though there was panic in the interim period around the feasibility of the film, considering Salman is already overloaded with four new films (Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Kick, Sher Khan) in the pipeline, writer director Anees Bazmee has ensured that the film is pretty much on track.
“In fact as we talk, I have also closed on the timelines when the script would be narrated to Salman”, says Bazmee, “That would be later part of next month. Salman is very excited to do the film and understands that it is a huge franchise.”
The film is already in the last stage of the writing process and would yet again feature escapades of the three friends. The film is also special since not just would it star Anil Kapoor, it would also mark a comeback of Fardeen Khan.
“Yes, the film can’t be complete without any of the three”, he says, “In fact Fardeen’s character is even funnier this time around and audience would love it.”
Girls won’t be as lucky though. While Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley are enjoying marital bliss, Esha Deol is herself trying for a comeback.
“Yes, we would be scouting for new girls”, Bazmee confirms.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, who were pronounced man and wife a few days back, might soon make a new flat in Juhu their home.
According to sources, Mr. and Mrs. Deshmukh, the newest wedded couple in the Tinsel Town have together purchased a flat in suburban Mumbai. Riteish himself is to be the one to design the flat, and the place that they would call home soon would be a reflection of both of their tastes. In all probability, Riteish and Genelia will shift into their flat soon, and for good.
The wedding ceremony will take place at Grand Hyatt in suburban Santacruz from 12 pm onwards. This is the first big marriage in Bollywood this year. Reportedly, two ceremonies will take place a church wedding and a Maharashtrian one. In run up to the main ceremony, a pre-wedding bash was organised by actor Fardeen Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala on January 25 followed by a sangeet ceremony at Taj Lands End hotel in suburban Bandra on January 31.

Ishqiya was an unexpected success and the ambiguous ending left it open for a sequel. Two years later, the sequel to the underworld comic caper is now a reality, set to go on the floors in 2012. The film is in its initial stages and pre-production is underway. Arshard Warsi will once again don the mantle of ‘Babban’, while Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Kangana Ranaut are touted to be the leading ladies. Naseeruddin Shah was meant to be reprising his role but according to sources, Irrfan Khan will be replacing him. The cast alone is enough to pique the audiences’ interest and we expect some Madhuri Magic, since she will be gracing our screens after a five year absence. Expect stellar performances, a captivating storyline and possibly iconic dance sequences!
